Ranchi
In a significant push to safeguard indigenous identity in the digital age, tribal leaders and influencers on Saturday called upon content creators to actively preserve and promote tribal heritage at the Adinivas Tribal Creators Meet held in Ranchi.
Organised by Adinivas at a city hotel, the event brought together tribal influencers and digital creators from Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Odisha, the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and other regions, creating a unique national platform for cultural exchange and collaboration.
Addressing the gathering as chief guest, Khijri MLA Rajesh Kachhap said that despite linguistic diversity, tribal communities share a common identity and worldview. He stressed that digital creators play a crucial role in taking tribal traditions, culture, and heritage to a global audience.
Expressing concern over the gradual erosion of tribal traditions in the modern era, Kachhap urged the youth to take responsibility for preserving their ancestral heritage. He noted that while children are increasingly drawn towards science and technology, they are simultaneously losing touch with their roots and history. Highlighting the importance of community living, he added that tribal society has always thrived on unity and collective existence, warning that losing this essence could weaken their identity.
Jharkhand State Cricket Association President Ajaynath Shahdeo praised Adinivas for providing a common platform to tribal creators across the country. He observed that while the digital world offers immense learning opportunities, adopting values from tribal life is equally essential for maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

Adinivas founder Captain Nitin Kujur said the Adinivas app has been developed to integrate tribal culture, talent, education, entrepreneurship, and professional networking on a single platform. He announced that the app will soon be launched by Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Kujur added that the platform aims to provide career guidance to youth, connect tribal professionals nationwide, and promote entrepreneurship, job opportunities, tribal products, music, art, and cultural exchange. He described Adinivas as a comprehensive ecosystem representing diverse tribal talent.
He also announced upcoming initiatives, including a Tribal Football Premier League, career counselling programmes, and celebrations marking World Indigenous Day.
During the event, gotra-based T-shirts were unveiled. The welcome address was delivered by Adinivas Jharkhand Head Sajit Toppo. Among those present were Adinivas Director Abhishek Minj, Saurabh Kullu, A. Kerketta, actor Nitesh Kachhap, singers Garima Ekka and Chandni Badaik, along with Vivek Nayak, Pankaj Soni, Giriraj, Vikas Tirkey, and several others.
