For centuries, India’s tribal communities have safeguarded forests, languages, traditions, knowledge systems and ways of life. Yet many of their stories remain unknown, not because they are insignificant, but because few have taken the effort to document them.

The Indian Tribal was founded to change that,  guided by one simple mission—Know The Unknown, Lesser-Known Tribal Life.

For the past four-and-a-half years, we have travelled across India to chronicle stories that rarely find space in mainstream media. We have done this without external funding, driven only by our conviction that India’s tribal heritage deserves to be documented with dignity, depth and authenticity.
