The Hornbill Festival in 2019 registered nearly 3 lakh visitors and generated revenue worth Rs 75 crore while the 21st edition in 2020 was celebrated completely in virtual mode, a first of its kind for the state, due to Covid restrictions. A 30-minute telecast of the festival was broadcast globally on a virtual platform in collaboration with news channels.
