The seven-day workshop, held last month, had experts from various fields as trainers — from literature to the use of new technologies — to teach participants ways to prove their point in the current mass media.
A majority of the 100 participants was those which was just eager to explore the ‘latest’ mass media sans ‘expertise’ in any of the fields, the TRI officials said adding these participants, through their honest queries pushed the experts to ‘tight corners’ during deliberations on aesthetics literature, novel writing, production of documentary, feature films, and dialogue deliveries among others.
Most of the sessions were divided into three parts to smoothly enable the participants how to make the presentations touch its zenith, if not climax, and then, gradually enable these reach their ‘decisive ends’.
“The experts included FTII and NID alumnus, who have proved their worth on the silver screen, or the ‘living’ great literary figures whose very names ought to be taken with due respect always and everywhere. Most of them were novice ‘bloggers’, but eager to prove their worth on various forums during the coming days,” noted film maker Meghnath told The Indian Tribal.
While around 70 participants were actively involved in the literary workshops involving, script writing, forceful dialogues accentuating meaningful presentation of the play and poetic interventions, another 30-odd participants learned the technical aspects of new presentations cropping up in their minds, Meghnath said adding displaying the indigenous culture to world outside in its real terms is their main motto.
Dr Ram Dayal Munda Tribal Research Institute Director Ranendra Kumar, who is not only a seasoned administrator but also a well-known literary figure, opined that since the tribal literature is very rich, it was high time to make these readily available in other languages too. Hence, a small initiative has also been made with regard to translation works.
